        Very hard braking can cause the front wheels to lock up - unless you have ABS.

          Then there's something wrong somewhere. Unless you're jumping on the brakes? I don't think I've ever locked the brakes on my Surfs.

            well he does say "under hard braking" maybe travelling a little too fast and expecting it to behave like sports car

              Locked mine up once or twice on muddy or otherwise slippy roads - on purpose you understand, to find out where the point of lockup is.

              I'd be more concerned if he'd said he was locking the rears.
