Supras came with 3.133:1 and 3.266:1 8" limited slip diffs and there are probably matching 7½" diffs suitable for the front in some of the RWD Corollas.

I have fitted the axle to a drag car
          The ratio is 4.33.1
I need something to give me a higher top speed
and i dont want to change the axle as its very strong
Here is a piccy of the car
Its turbo charged and makes 700 hp

Toyota Supra (and also the V6 Camry) diffs are the same series as the Hilux Turbo/V6 ones but you can't really be sure it will fit unless you know if the car your axle came from was auto or manual. Autos are slightly different and the diff is not interchangeable with manual ones because the carrier inside the axle is different.

If you get the right diff for your axle casing it will just bolt in.

I think one thing you will need to be aware of, just putting a higher ratio diff in will not neccessarily give you more speed, The engine power and resistance on a Surf / Hilux / 4runner will limit the top speed even if you lowere the revs. I certainly can't redline my 2.4 in top. Unless you are putting in a nice powerful V8 or Supra engine you will probably find that putting in the highest ratio diff will actually reduce your top speed.

Mind you as I don't know what that 8" axle is in, then you may already have the above covered.

              Go on, Tell us......please

                  Doh.

Didn't see that - blindness taking over.

                  Have a look here

                  http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/other/4_axles.html

From what I can see the highest ratio is 3.333 in the 8" standard. or a 3.15 on an american spec one.

                  Cheers

Your bravery knows no bounds. 155mph in a Dolomite, they were mad enough at 110.

Bet that is a site to see.

                      Cheers

155mph??? How long are 1/4 miles in the UK?

I run 14.2sec with a trap speed of 102mph on 15psi. If your trapping 155mph you must be running low 9's. HOLY SH!T !!

Was size turbo are you running?
