Is the 3.0L coupling the same as the 2.4 one?

The fins are different sizes.I found this out on Pirate storms truck.I suppose you could fit a 2.4 one on a 3.0l without rubbing probs on the cowling like you do if you put a 3.0l one in a 2.4

Good, so the actual coupling is the same. Something else to keep from my old truck. Along with Matt's striking blue fan.

Different part numbers, different engine? I don't know for sure, but I somehow doubt they are interchangeable.

I found refurbing the Viscous Coupling made a huge difference to my 2.4. Can't remember if you've done that yet?

Yep I refilled my fan with toyota oil when I did the head. Made it roar!

Anyhow check you out Mr 3.0!! You better be running some power cables or something in that baby......... Stereo Install? You leave it much longer you'll be deaf

Aye I know, did what I said I wouldn't!

Will get on with the install soon, got a few things to do to the truck first, then will start running cables at least.
I knew there was a reason for not doing the install in the 2.4!

The 2.4 coupling does not fit on the 3.0 engine because the alignment hole for the water pump on the 2.4 is smaller. It can be drilled out to fit if you have the correct tools to do it.
