Not taken it the wrong way at all. You're still asking if the gasket is the cause. It isn't, same as it wasn't the gasket from the moment the head went, and still wasn't the gasket after any of the replies telling you it was your head which had gone. That isn't leaving things 'open to discussion'. That's ignoring all advice you're given.
Is that vague at all, or has the clue stick finally worked?

Chances are.. its the head! Previous threads will just confirm it even more.. The cost involved in changing the head is less than changing the gasket.. and then the head!
GWH200 has just been raving about Stevos' great service and products.. it was little over £1000 for the whole thing.
Time to work out if its worth paying the money for another surf to fix your one!
MattF has a point.. an i apreciate it may be a little 'course' for this time in the morning! ( ) but never the less.. if you ignore the advice given so far it will cost you alot more.

i was told something by whoever, then i asked another question hoping that i would get more reason or clarification as to why they have said that. thats called a disscusion.
what you have done is taken what im saying as someone who is telling that person that he is wrong and i must be an ######## because i can never be wrong.
if i was to say those exact words i wrote to him (or you) in person, with expression on my face, you would then know how what i said was meant to sound like. on a forum all you can read is text. you cant always tell how someone is trying to say something.
the fact that you seem to constantly take what i and a lot of other members say as arrogant or ignorant really sums up your character and personality.
you really must be a moody fcuk all the time to even think for a second that im (someone you dont know) trying to be an arrogant and ignorant pr1ck in eveything i say.
you are clearly not a peoples person, an understanding person, or even a nice hearted guy.
im in a foul fcuking mood as you can tell from the news about my surf, so the last thing i want is some pathetic internet forum mr know it all C**T saying bullsh1t to me that i dont need to hear.
grow the fcuk up you sad little man! if you dont have anything nice to say..... #### off!!

why do you think i put question marks at the end of everything i say.

When my head went back in 2004 (in Scotland of all places 360 miles from home) the recovery bloke told me it was the gasket. Now by then I'd read a fair bit on here so disagreed with him, to which he replied, that it may be the head but they are not aloud to make that seriuos a diagnoises at the road side.
Reading what you have typed really reminds me of the discussion I had earlier that year when she had overheated and was subsicutly pressurising the system, back then it was called denial, because it's the worse news you want. I did try K-Seal, and it worked for a month, then back to chucking out water again. So new head from Stevo was ordered, and fitted by TonyN (now ocasional visitor).
With these beasts it's safe to assume if it overheats the head gone.
With regards to the expansion water bottle, if you have a little hole (and this can be pin prick small) the radiator will suck back air instead of water.Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

Yup, that's a prime example of absorbing and heeding the advice you're given. No idea how I could come to the conclusion that you are just doing a BDT.
Graham paid £1050 for parts and fitting. (That does mean everything included, i.e: parts and fitting).
p.s:
you are clearly not a peoples person

I'd also ask lots of questions, as the last answer I'd like to hear is "your cylinder head has gone" - there is also the issue of semantics I think - you say head, I read gasket (I would always associate this problem with the head gasket - so just assume that when someone says head, they are simply shortening head gasket to head.....
I'm no spanner fiend myself, and when the head (head or just gasket) went on my car, and now subsequnetly the Surf, I'm still stuggling with some of the descriptions of the problems - is it down to the gasket or the whole head....
There, I'm dumb!Too old to care, young enough to remember

I'd like to say its just the gasket.. but it probably will be the head.. on a plus BDT and Graham have both said how much better there trucks perform with the new head.. so you might even be glad you had it done.. Every cloud n' all!
