i was taught by my uncle who has been a mechanic since school, that engine flush can be a bad thing.

for example if the engine flush loostens a thinkened lump of oil, and this gets circulated to somewhere thats too small for that lump to go through it could cause a lack of oil.
some engines have cam spray bars so there could be an example. our engines could be different though.

a very good method to work by is if it aint broke dont fix it. a few people have mentioned this before.
    Oh Nana, what's my name?

I've tinkered with bikes, cars, trucks, busses, etc since I was 12. I've always used engine flush of some kind when I change engine oil. Never had, or heard of, a failure due to flushing. Never known a clean, well maintained, engine to fail because of oil starvation.

I have seen engine failures due to sludge though.
