  • Removing Paint Swirls?

Anyone know a good way to bring the paintwork back to life?

I tried a "clay bar" but it did nothing!

I would like to restore a "show room" type finish and remove the swirls etc.

Scared of using T-Cut though as I ruined my Lambretta with it!

    Cheers!

hi the best stuff you need to use is some M3 hand glaze, then top make wax over top, it will fill all the swirls and come up like glass, think you just are unlucky with the bike,i would use maybe a (Acut) but something to flat the laquor down it makes the hand glaze finish much more deepand level, surfs have a heavy laquor covering,i used a 1200 grit wet and dry on my hole truck and rubbed well hard in places then used g3 compound with a machine buffer and never came though the laqour, and your right t cut sucks(goes on shit and come off like shit, use what the pros use,g3 compound, hand glaze, hand wax(wet and dry 1800 but only on bad scratches) hope this helps
Not going to rest till its broke

          I use this..

applied with machine/with sponge mop. It's like the original T-cut, much better than the latest crap!

          Then I finish with this......

The finish looks and feels like glass!!

...and yes I have a white floor in my garage/workshop.

Just dont paint swirls on your car in the first place!

Is the Celica what you need the stickers for Vince?

              Correct in both cases.
The car needs something along the flanks methinks, too much bodywork.

                Re

I previously bought some Farecla G10, any good?

                Yes/No/Maybe?

According the the dude in the Autoparts place it was "what the pros use"!

Now, I have used it before as per directions!

Messy (white spots/splatters everywhere) and it didn't do much at all!

                Maybe the G3 version?

Vince, when you are "cutting" what method do you use?

I use my polisher set at the slowest speed with a damp, white grade sponge fitted for the 'cutting' keep the sponge moving around the panel all the time until you can see it starting to dry out. Let it haze then buff off with a soft cloth e.g. brushed cotton cloth or yellow duster.
Then I apply the carnauba wax (E-bay) by hand and buff off by hand.

This is the machine I have, got it from MachineMart and the white sponge which can be bought seperately in different colours/grades.
