Swing-out wheel carrier

Hi,

couple of quick questions;

I've got hold of a rear door and swing-out wheel carrier from a scrapped Surf and hoped to fit it to my 4Runner. Having taken the trim off the interior, I can't get at the rear corner to bolt the carrier on, as there's a metal reinforcing cross-member in the way. So I was hoping somebody might be alble to answer the following before I waste my time trying to fit it;

Can a swing-out carrier from a Surf be fitted to a 4Runner?

Does anybody know of a place in Scotland (not too far from Morayshire preferably) who might be able to do this or who specialises in 4Runners/Surfs (Toyota dealers are helpful by expensive).

If it's any help I posted a pic of the bracing from a 2nd gen in this thread. Maybe what you are feeling is that brace and all you have to do is drill the holes for the bolts ? If you're very lucky..
