ABS brakes

Hi,Driving through town today some scumbag being chased by the cops drove up the one way street I was on causing me to brake hard and swerve at 30mph!!As I braked there was a plastic sounding grinding and a vibration in the pedal,is this normal for abs or do I get it checked??cheers

Not sure about the plasticy noise, but the vibration is right.

I sort of knew that the vibrating was ok as thats how it works, but the grinding is a bit strange so I will get it looked at anyway!cheers
