        gasket extortion

I was about to get the mechanics to go ahead with the turbo replacement when they phoned after getting a quote from Toyota for the gaskets £150 ?? can that be right. So busy at the moment I haven't had a good chance to look around . Is that sort of price what I should expect to pay?
        Many thanks

            Thanks Bushwacker

            Thats a massive saving.
Roll on Payday. Its started me thinking I should get the existing turbo off and see if I can cope with the job myself... or might I be a novice in well up to me neck. My car tool department is very lacking but now might be a good time to step it up. My micro soldering v good , my retro arcade machine repairing good, my pinball machine repairing average. My car repairing not since a ford escort years ago ... done some basics - replacing the alternator and bits like that.
Do I just need a basic socket set?
