24th of march 2007 i guy called mike frazier was in the middle of rear end lift on a surf but his Q: was about the shape and diameter difference of the HDJ80 springs ( tapered 70 mm) and the original surf spring ( paralell 100mm) and the way they fit over the rubber bump stops and seat on the perch. and this thread just about answers everything, because so many have said they are totally different shape and size and thats the bit thats thrown me. so many people have given daft information on what to do, but now iv got my answer,so there you go, thanks to all that answered GLOVES.

Hmmm, as the pioneering member of fitting Landcruiser springs to a 2nd gen Surf, (which is what yours is by the way,) I seem to be the only one not having fitment problems. They were just like replacing standard Surf/4Runner springs but much longer.

p.s. my L/C springs are black standard duty springs not the heavy duty blue ones for sale on Milners website. Maybe the stronger springs are thicker/narrower????
