i'm new to the forum and quite new to surf ownership!
just after some help and info with regards to a couple things.

has anybody fitted a winch to a 3rd gen without a winch bumper? as i'm after a few pointers and a few detailed pics if poss?

where can i purchase a snorkel for a 3rd gen? best place and price etc?

also does anybody know if the tailgate glass from a 2nd gen will fit a 3rd gen?

Not sure. I think a winch bumper would be the easiest way to do it, but you could fabricate something. If you're no good at that sort of thing, contact surfenstein, who will be able to do it for you. http://www.outrageousoffroad.co.uk/

Im after a winch for my 3rd gen too.
Take a look at SMEG02, he has a really nice winch set up, its based around his origional bumper, fits nice & snug, best one ive seen anyway.

had a look at that and it looks very smart! the kind of look i want for mine!!
already got the winch and going to get a mounting plate as a starting point for the cradle,could do with some detailed pics just to see how people have attached it to the chassis?

Think he had his brackets custom made so he could achive that set back look. Think it cost him a few quid to do it aswell. still it looks worth it.
