  • Delivering new head from England to Ireland

Well my exams are nearly over (Monday!) so i'm starting to think about replacing the cylinder head on my 2.4L 2nd Gen.

I'm going to take it down to my mechanic next week, take the head off with him to confirm that that's the problem and then order a new head from Stevo. I just spoke to Stevo briefly (on my mobile from Ireland) and he said that most people organize their own shipping for his heads overseas to save money.

I checked parcelforce and they say that the parcel is too heavy for them (40kg, 55cm x 22cm x 22cm) and DHL is expensive at around €250.

Can anyone suggest another company that could ship the head for me? I need to find a balance between expense and the need to have it shipped relatively quickly so my truck isn't sitting outside my mechanics house for too long.

    Thanks,
    S.h.

Also mods, feel free to move this post if it's in the wrong thread, I didn't really know where to post it.

I have used paisleyfreight for wheel and tyre delivery but I don't know if they cover Ireland.

try www.interparcel.com or www.parcel2go.com i use both of these to send stuff and they will take anything up to 500kg but you will need to go through and see if they ship to Ireland
