  • Oil seal

Today I finally got round to changing all the oils in the truck. I noticed that the transfer box has a leak coming from the flange that drives the front prop.
I am asuming here, but is it a case of unbolting the prop, then withdrawing the drive flange (I guess it just pulls out?) prise out the seal and then push in a new one? A bit like a crank shaft seal I am imagining it to be like.

    Thanks for all your help....
I was almost right, the only other bit needed is a new nut that holds the flange on as its one of those ones you peen over into a groove to lock it.
Got a seal from Toyota for £13.

You don't need a new nut, just re-peen the original.
