  • Is it my Power Steering Pump?

Thanks Guys for your advice on my Surf leaning to the right. Doesn't affect performance but I'm feeding the wife more chocolate and cake to help level it!

Today I drove from N.Ireland to North Wales and when I parked at the services I noticed the steering was sounding funny (like the sound of trainers on a gym floor) and feeling heavy and notchy when turning the wheel.

    Help!!!

Anyone got a spare PAS pump!!

check the pump belt, mine was shredded when i got it, slipping too, changed it and it's been fine ever since

could still be slipping though, if tension is ok, don't be tempted to over tighten as this puts strain on the pump pulley bearings, try turning the pump pulley with the engine off, if it slips easily (doesn't grip the belt too well) then a new belt is needed. www.milneroffroad.com for next day delivery.
