  • Master cylinder...

I've finally removed my master cylinder to swap it for a new 2nd hand one.

Unfortunately, as I left it so long to fit the replacement, the new one has gone quite rusty on the end where the circlip and piston arrangement sit.

I've taken the piston/plunger assembly out of mine and it appears to be fine, the rubber seals are in good condition, everythings spotlessly clean etc.
So, should I fit my piston assembly into the new cylinder or just reasemble mine.
Is there anything else that can go wrong with them other than the rubber seals going?

    Cheers

Right, I'm going to give the new one a good polish with autosol, and then clean it thoroughly with solvents and brake fluid.

Then, I'll reassemble it using my piston assembly. I'll post back with how it goes.

    Cheers
