Hi folks,
Noticed sometimes the power steering is a bit inconsistent when at a standstill or at very low speed. It can go from very heavy to very light in the course of one lock-to-lock (in 2wd mode, by the way).
Checked the fluid level & belt tension and they seem fine, also no signs of any leaks, so I'm thinking possibly the pump may be a bit dodgy.
Anyone else experienced this? It only happens occasionally, and isnt too much of a problem at the moment, but we're taking it abroad and I'm concerned about the pump failing and leaving me with no power assistance.
Your thoughts or input greatly appreciated.
