  • Waterproofing

Going off laning on Sat one part of which is a ½ mile long piece of water. You can go around it but with my shiny new snorkel that seems a shame!
Been reading about waterproofing and so far have:

    Snorkel attached
Diff breathers running into engine bay
No body lift which I heard opens the seal around the interior
    Vaseline on door seals
Will be keeping speed up sufficiently to keep a bow wave ahead of me (unless someone decides to break down ahead of me)

    I don’t have
    A breather on transfer case
Waterproofed electrics (bit of hot glue around some of the connectors in the engine bay but that’s it) Should I spray with Lithium grease?

Info I can’t find anything conclusive on are:
Is there much you can do with the alternator? Spray with WD40?
Where are the main electrics to waterproof
Is a ½ mile of water a stupid idea whatever I do in unlifted truck on 31’s

Orrr…. Is it a great idea and will be lots of fun and I won’t break my truck at all!!

aaandd... just tied off the pipe for the egr. This leaves the bit it was attached to (technical I know) open to the outside world.

does this need to be extended or anything to stop water entering or am I being paranoid?
