Rear window on 3rd gen??????

Hi.

I am looking at getting another surf.

USed to own a 2nd gen 2.4 which was awesome untill the head went. Replaced it and then had to sell it.

Anyways. I am after a 3rd gen, but just wondered how the boot opens on them and if the window still goes down like on the 2nd gen. This is one of the main things that came in really handy for me.

If some one could explain or show me some pics that would be great.

Thats goog to know. Will keep an eye out for one without rear wheel on the back then.

Does the boot lid opn upwards or sideways????

Sorry to be a pain but is there any power increase between the normal 3rd gen and the one with the intercooler. Also wot the mpg like on both of these.

as charvell said, the window goes down like on the 2nd gens, but the tailgate lifts up like a standard estate car, the one advantage they do have in this area is that you can open the hatch up without opening the window first, at the expense of the dropdown bit of the tailgate which i find really useful.

yea I have to agree I used to find the drop down tailgate really usefull.

Have been contemplating on getting another 2nd gen but thought the 3rd gen would be slightly better.

Suppose I will find out when I go and test drive a couple.
