    Ey up!

I changed my crankshaft pully last week, as the harmonic balancer had busted. Stuck the lot back together, tightened the belts etc and all was well.

That was until a couple of days ago, where my power steering belt was slipping and the pully was squeeling like a pig! I re-tightened it, even popped round to Chillitts yesterday and tightened it again, but it keeps coming lose!

Just popped out again now, having done the bolt up as tight as I could, fine for a few turns, but then the dreaded squeel came back!

What do I need to do to keep the bl00dy thing tight? Am I being daft?

I have new belts on (the toothy ones!). It may sound daft but is there a right and wrong way to put these on, as looking at them they look the same either way round!

    Any ideas as I'm flummoxed...........again!!!!

    Cheers Folks

is there enough room to double nut it. so the 2nd one locks the first.

I think I may have sorted it! Spanner and a B.F bar seemed to do the trick! My weak and feeble arms are obviously not big enough to do the job properly!

I'm not overly convinced it won't budge again, so I like your double nut idea, I've not thought of that! Cheers matey.
