Coolant flush

Hi everyone,
I was planning to flush my coolant system last night, but had a minor problem with the drain tap on the rad. I'm assuming it only does a half turn before it starts draining because it wouldn't turn any more. Nothing came out of the tap. Am i missing something?

use the bottom hose to drain it and flush it through, take the hose off below the cap on the thermostat housing and flush all the engine and heater out with a hose till it runs nice and clear

Be careful with the tap,I had one that fell out and had been stuck in with some kind of paste,the tap had just disintegrated inside the rad,had to nick about 8 different ones from the scrapyard until I found one that fitted.

Got a spare if you need one.
