What is the pressure in the ATF system? I am putting my cooler where the drivers side indicator was, and opening up the bumper a bit to suit.
If I fit a bleed nipple on the outgoing pipe, can I bottom feed the rad, or is the pressure not high enough to fill the rad properly?
I imagine I'm better off top feeding it as then I know that the rad will be definitely be full.
Tony N, I believe you've dropped the rad cooler and just use an external cooler now. Has this worked out OK? I overheated the coolant this weekend and am concerned about driving a heavily loaded truck in the Pyrenees next year. I also have a Mitsy intercooler fan I was thinking of fitting so if I'm moving slowly on climbs I can switch it on for extra cooling.
Any thoughts?

as the cooling system is marginal on these vehicles everthing has to be tried(funds permitting).

(RRC V8 driver) and was worried as the power fell off and the temp crept up, we got to the top and pulled over and I had a quick check over, all was well with no leaks and the temp came down. I then gave him a lecture on surf driving
Keep the rev's between 2000 & 2500 don't let the TPS cut in, and we sailed home at 60 without another problem.
