    hi guys
    thinking of changing my surf rad for a 4runner (man)gearbox one and running a after market box cooler, has anybody done this and if so will it help keep engine temp down when working hard. cheers

    I don't think you'll need to change the rad, just it an after market cooler, and the trans cooler will keep the box cool, and there'll be less heat in the rad, therefore keeping the engine cooler.

    Check this link, the guy has fitted new rad, but then again he is in Australia, and it's a bit warmer there.

      Our getting hot problem towing big trailers dissappeared by fitting a big aftemarket ATF cooler, and not running it through the main rad at all. Still have the Auto truck rad in the truck, with the cooler housing in the bottom tank still, just not bring used, and its fine.
