It's time I sorted out the front end of me truck.
I'd like a return to centre steering damper but can't find one in the uk so may just fit the standard uprated type (for when my 33's get fitted) next off I need to do my o/s cv joint ( making orrible clicking noise near r/h lock) I was gonna order 2 up and keep the other spare because I'm assuming both sides are as old as each other.
Next is track rod ends, too much play I think, idler bushes too.
I think I have a wee knock coming from the steering box, anyone experienced this. I only feel it coming back through the steering wheel link a gentle clunk when the terrain gets a bit rough.
I also have a wobble under braking from about 40mph, think this could be the cv joint. Bearing were recently done. I may need to inspect the calipers though.
Is there anything else I should consider replacing?
the balljoints look ok and recent mot had no advisories.
Any other bushes or the like need to be inspected?
After work is done I want to get it properly aligned, can anyone recommend a someone in Central Scotland to do this?
