70 to 75 tyre swop ok on standard arches?

The tyres on my new '93 Surf are worn and will need replacing soon.
Just spoken to a guy breaking his Surf who has offered me a pair of nearly new BFGs and a pair of Enduro AT's for £100 with wheels.

My current tyres are 265/70 15's these ones he's offering are 265/75 15's. My surf as far as I know is standard so will these slightly larger ones fit OK?

Also am I right that though not ideal its ok having 2 pairs of different tyres as long as they match across the axle rather than corner to corner? If so is there any preference in which I use at the front and which at the back?

They will fit fine mate. 265/75/15 is a rare size. Not many make those sizes anymore. But as long as all the tyres are good £100 on wheels is pretty cheap!

An spot on about the mismatched tyre thing. As long as they match on each axle its not a problem, i had BFG AT on the front an Goodyear wrangler AT on the rear. Worked fine!
