  • Fitting rear shocks -HELP!!!!!

    Hi all,

    Am currently lying under my surf - laptop at my side....

    Rear coil is out, bottom nut is out...
    The top nut of the shocks has a the adjustable gubins, but I cant see anything.
    Right awkward barsteward!!

    How does this come off?!?

    PLEEASE help! Otherwise its the bus for me 2morrow!!

    Once the actuator is off, there's another nut holding the shaft to the chassis. It's all done by feel.

        Unplug it, then two nuts (10mm spanner) and lift off. Then the main nyloc nut holding the shaft. The shaft may turn as you try and unscrew the main nut, so you'll need to grip the shaft at the same time. If you're binning the shocks then use a pipe wrench or stilsons.

          job done - took an angle grinder to the old rear shocks in the end and then just lifted the actuators out....

          ride much improved on the es9000s and lifted new coils - fronts next weekend.
