Well, it never rains, but it kicks you in the bollox!

Another part of my exhaust fell off today ( noticed it hanging off wilst in tesco's ordering 110 litres of their finest pura veg oil)

So the question is, do I fit a standard exhaust a la R/trax, or do I go for the bigger ( and more expensive ) bespoke stainless steel type.

I've just been paid, and pretty much all the money is allocated to pay bills etc, so I need to know hw much more expensive is the SS type, and is there anywhere in kent that does them???

I really don't need this at the moment, what with the fuel pump too.

Single custom stainless cat-back on mine was 350 from Powerflow. Google them, they have loads of franchises.

If you're short of cash get a Roughtrax, Milners or ebay one. Or just pick up a scrap transit one and weld it on.

Aye, I guess I could bodge somat up until I scrape some cash together, I can't do £350 this month ( or next TBH) so maybe a couple of clamps and some offcuts will have to do.

I hope the rest of it holds up for a while longer, it looks like it might be the original

Which part has broken off?
If it'sthe last section that goes over the rear axle, leave it off and just fit a 90 degree bend to the main silencer so that the end of the exhaust exits in front of the rear wheel. I did this and it's no louder than standard really, but you can hear the turbo whistling more. Bibs has my old side exit exhaust fitted to her truck now.

Yes, tis the last bit that goes over the axle, and it's not any louder, just making the axle black from the smoke ( and it's wet from the fuel pump leak)

Where to get a 90 degree bend and fittings??? Quick fit??

Thanks Vince, I'll look into that at the weekend, I could do with a cheap fix until I get some money together.

I was gonna repalce the exhaust and clutch before the pyrenees trip anyway, but was hoping to delay that until next summer, as I got the fuel pump to refurb and change first.

Aye, I'll have a look at it on saturday, and ascess the damage.

The exhaust looks like it may even be the original it's so rusty, so I'm hoping that there's enough metal to connect to and it'll hold up 'til next summer.

My milage in the surf has gone from 100 miles a month to 2000 miles a month, so it a bit of a shock for the old girl. and she's complaining.

Had a look at the R/trax price for a full exhaust, and it's about £300.00 + vat + delivery, then + fitting.
I can get a stainless steel bespoke large bore exhaust fabed and fitted for that, with at least a 5 year warrenty, so I'll try and keep it ticking along until I can afford one.

What part of the exhaust do you need Bob.i have got from the big box back if you want it for a 2.4.i may have to go to Tony and Lindas soon so if you want it i' can get it as far as there for you probably

At the moment it's just the two parts behind the silencer, but it may end up as the whole thig, depending on how rusty the rest is, I'll check it tomorrow and let you know, I'm at work now, so got to look busy.

Your in luck I have one 2.4TD which I'm not using, becouse I'm putting a v8 into me truck, Also in Hastings too.
