Folding rear seat backs

Being new to this game can anyone tell me if the rear seat backs are supposed to fold flat so making a bigger boot area.
If so is there a lever somewhere to allow the seats to tip up or something.

My backs just tilt forward about 30 degrees and sort of bounce on the seat cushions

put your hand down the back of each half of the seat and you will find a handle/strap pull that to release the seat bases to fold forward
