silly question time

hello folks its that silly question time again.
just a small test for all you expert surf owners out there,i was topping up with oil this morning with my recently bought surf and noticed that under neath my yellow engine oil dipstick was a orange dipstick ( i dont mean me ) what the hell is that for is it some thing to do with the automatic gear box oil or similar. sorry if this sounds like a silly question but this is my first surf and ive never had a auto before,leaning every day and loving my motor ,also do surfs tend to use a bit of oil and is this normal hence mine runs like a dream and theres not really any nasty black smoke apart from first thing in the morning like all diesals i think....please help

yeah, that's the A/T fluid dipstick

to check the level in the auto trans the engine should be hot and running to give the correct reading.
