fronts are the prob, rear is drums, heres wot happened drove 5 miles to a builders merchants parked up for 5 mins drove off 500 yrds brakes started to drag, drove on for 5 miles to garage brakes now smoking and i could only get 40 mph out of the van, they put it on a brake tester to confirm only the fronts were dragging, ok i will give you a bit of back ground 6 months ago the van developed a binding issue and the master cylinder and servo were changed ( £ 850) pads were changed in next service, brakes never been the same ie not as sharp and could get them to suffer from pump out.

            next?

                  there's this recall on them..
                  Recall: No. 2 of 3
                  Recall Ref: R2002/021
                  Exact Model:
Description: POSSIBLE REDUCTION IN BRAKING ASSISTANCE, PLUS ENGINE OPERATING PROBLEMS
                  VIN:
                  Build Date:
                  Numbers: 40254
Defect: In adverse wet weather conditions water may enter the engine management solenoid valve operating circuit. This could result in engine operating problems and a reduction in power assistance to the brake pedal if the water enters the brake vacuum circuit via the solenoid valves.
Action: Recall affected vehicles to examine and if necessary, replace the engine management solenoid valves with ones sealed against the ingress of water.
                  Launch Date: 05 April 2002
                  it's in me shed, mate.

the mechanics had to remove the vacum pipe from the servo to move the vehicle ie brake binding was cured

                            no its not abs
