If you are talking about the large short hose on the bottom pipes, I undid the jubilee clips and slid them right over onto the long metal pipe. Once they were out of the way I tapped the end of the rubber hose with a piece of soft wood. Once the seal is broken you can twist the hose and slide it to the right.

I haven't got small hands. I took the viscous fan off to make more room.

I think that is what I will have to do, I managed to drop the fan unit and eventually get the clips off (which was not easy) and then got stuck with the hose. I was just about to attack it with something heavy when I had to put it all back together. Try again tomorrow!!
