atf change

im gonna change atf oil tomorrow as its looking a bit like this
I know this has covered and coverd again, but just wanna be sure
So its DEXTRON III and put back in what i take out yea ??

But i noticed on the dipstick it has different levels for hot and cold, now i have looked at it after a run and first thing in the morn and they seem the same , can someone explain to me why this is please....ta

by the morning the volume of atf in the pump has drained into the sump, (big pump), if your happy with the level when its hot and you've worked the gear selector through every setting, fair comment replace what you've taken out.

as far as i know dextron 3 is the newer version of the dex 2 so you'l probably see less of the dex 2 on the shelves
