Whilst endeavouring to get the winning lottery ticket I inadvertantly
reversed into a post at local shoppery and have bent the bracket that
holds the wheel, into the tailgate!. Thus denting the tailgate, also
the wheel open position light is permanently on. I can knock the dent out
but how hard is the bracket to 'bend' back?. Is it mild steel and will it bend back using some heat?. I was looking to have an easy day on sunday but have now found something to do!!!.
Mind you ,you should see the post!!!

if you can bend it back without heat you'll save ruining the paint, be careful not to put a kink in the bar, but as long as its straight, it won't matter to much.

If it splits or kinks to bad, consider just cutting the knackered bit out and sleeving it with some pipe that will fit over, or inside the original bar.
