Diff

Mine looks like it HAD an LSD, if the sticker is anything to go by...

But it acts like its totally open... so I Imagine that some enterprising sort decided to put regular diff oil in it at some point..

I assume the Surfs had friction plate LSDs, as opposed to torsen style ones?

Do you have LSD diff oil in it now? When I changed my diff oil I came across a post on here (some kiwi member I think) saying that if you put the right LSD oil in a diff which previously had the normal (non LSD) oil, the diff "regains" its LSD properties, if you know what I mean. I'm no expert but maybe worth a try?
