Ruddy tailgate

Managed to sort out the window motor now the tailgate wont open when the window is down. Moves back and forth on the nearside but is locked on the offside. Any ideas guys?

Did you

'Fool' the latches into thinking the tailgate was closed when you repaired the motor,

I did something similar by clicking the shut with a screwdriver
and noticed they don't always return to the normal position when your finished,

it sounds like one hasn't

Sounds like the rod that connects the latch to the release handle has popped off.
