Turbo Strip Down

  • Turbo Strip Down

    Does anyone have a diagram on how to strip a turbo down.I have got the large circlip off of one end but i can figure out how to get the shaft out.If i can strip it down to get the shaft and bearings out then i may have a go at reconing it myself if i can find the website that i fouind that sells the bearings for the turbo

      Thanks Vince.I have spent a bit of time and have now found a site to show the strip down but i have got to find a good supplier of parts now.
      I found a few places for turbo parts and recons etc but i will continue with the search and see what else i can come up with.
      I found out that the ct12b turbo is made bt Hitachi and put together by toyota so i will look to see if i can find somewhere to get parts direct

        This may help Richard, I know you don't need 6 (the minimum order) but this could be the springboard for a little sideline ?

          You're gonna have to get the shaft balanced once you put the new bearings in, if not it will knock the new bearings out in no time
          If it aint broke dont fix it
