The front offside CV joint has started to rattle really badly. I can see where it is rattling (the big red arrow shows in the picture attached), but don't know what I need to fix it. Any ideas? The movement is between the silvery bit (technical name) to the left of the arrow, and the rusty brown bit to the right. What should take this slack up?

bronze bushes
i replaced the bronze bushes on mine yesterday. i don't wish to undermine anyone elses instructions, but a few of the things i had to finde out myself while doing the job, allthough mine is a difrent model i am sure may still be relavent,
the axle flange nuts are thread locked, so they need to be gently warmed until the threadlock melts, then you have to put a 17mm ring spanner on them and turn the wheel untill the spaner jams against the under frame then really put some steady preassure on that wheel and gently the nut will turn loose. the bolts can stay where they are, the axle will pull foreward off them
befor you knock the old bushes out, measure the distance from the end of the back bush to the front bush, then you will know when the new ones are all the way in.
i used a piece of 12mm threaded bar and some big square washers about three mill thick and a 32mm socket to squeeze the new ones into place, cost about £4 from B&Q, picture attached later.
i found that after giving the whole lot a generouse packing with grease i couldn't quite get the axle spindle to stick out that last little bit to get the circlip back on, so i temporally re-fitted the end bit of the hub with 3 of the nuts and then put the 32mm socket over the end and wound a bolt down into the end of the spindle, like a puller, as you wind the bolt in you can heare all the lovely new grease oozing out the back (your picture, bone dry)
