  • Can I fail an MOT if.......

My battery is a bit iffy?

My car starts no problems but once or twicde I have left an interior light on and one of the batteries drains resulting in a non start the next moring (cue call to Green Flag).

Will it fail an MOT if the battery isn't too good? Even if it starts fine normally?

i would of thought that as long as all the lights etc are working at the time of the mot then it should be ok, as long as they can start it up so the batteries don't go flat so nothing works

you dont need a good battery to pass, as long as the indicators and mandatory lights etc work, you can even push your car to the test if need be.
i live next door to testing station and i just nipped and asked him.
