  • Steering Damper silly question time !!!

Ok folks, as you may,or may not, be aware I am NOT a god with spanners (before Woodzie answers I am NOT something on the bottom of said God's shoes either) and I need some advice grovel grovel

Am I right in assuming that, to change said damper, I need to undo 4? bolts to remove the bash plate, followed by two (with split pins) to remove the item in question, followed by the reverse to fit a new one ?

Waiting with baited breath for the sarcastic comments from fellow cellar dwellers, and decent answers from the worthy.

    Trev (it's a spanner ? does it bite ?)
Look out Eastbourne, the Pandas are coming !

thats right trev. The new one i put on(or Andrew and Mark) put on hasn't got the ball joint on it so it will bolt straight on in place of the old one.You may need a ball joint splitter if you can't get the one end off with the b/joint HTH

That's the one I have ordered

It looks like it is only held on with 2 bolts, 1 each end.

yea piece of cake to fit Trev.Just be careful when you take the bash plate off tho and don't do what i did and let it drop on my head although the back has a hook on it when i took the last front bolt out thats when i got caught out
