  • Air suspension fitted!!

I got fed up with having a saggy ar$e and didn't want to mess up the ride with stiffer springs when I tow only every now and then (but its a BIG trailer), so, taking advantage of a very weak dollar, bought an air suspension kit from the States. Just fitted it (instead of the intercooler I was going to do over Chrimble) and I am very pleased with it. A great kit, not too difficult to do and what's more it works!! Having another guage in the truck and an on-board compressor is cool too!. Truck sits level with just 10 lbs air and handling is much improved without being choppy. Pump it up to 35 lbs and even with two fat blokes on the back it sits level. Feeling smug and happy and just wanted to share it! if anyone is interested in doing the same and want to know all the ins and outs, I'd be happy to share my new-found knowledge of plastic air line and push-fit unions!

Myself and Jotto did the same some time back... there are a few threads and photos about here somewhere...

I must learn to use the search thing properly!. No probs at all tho. Do you reckon if I put a lock out valave in the air line I could lock the pressure in the bags and use the compressor to run an ARB air locking diff?

They do a diverter valve, seen that somewhere... check out the Firestone site in the US, they make loads of airbags and stuff...

Wouldn't a bog standard two way changeover valve allow you to do that?
