  • 3rd Gen Under-Slung Spare Wheel

My 3rd Gen has 265/70R16 tyres fitted to alloy wheels. My under-slung spare however is the original 215/80R16 fitted to a steel rim.

I really must get a spare to match the rest in case I get a puncture.

Does anyone know if a 265/70R16 tyre will fit the steel rim? It's a 16" but what about the width?

& will the 265/70R16 wheel & tyre fit in the under-slug position or will it be to big for the winch system?

    Many Thanks

    Regards

    Lewis

265/70R16 is the Standard size for a 3rd GEN so changing will be ok

      Thanks marky,

So I assume the 265/70R16 is a factory option as my spare is a 215/80R16 & that size is printed on an information decal with tyre pressures on the B post.

          Marky,

I presume your spare is a 265/70R16? is it under-slung as well? Does it protrude quite a lot below the rear bumper?

          Regards

My spare is rear mounted. Your spare should be the same size as the other 4.
My 2nd gen had the undermounted one which fit just fine.
