I'd be interested to see how you get on! I've heard that the pipes can suffer from corrosion...
I'm pretty sure the carpet will accept the heater - at least I hope so!
I already have copper pipe ready to replace the always corroded twin pipes!
UPDATE: I have heard that fitting copper pipe can cause galvanic corrosion of any aluminium parts (head, radiator etc.) Has anyone any experience of this having fitted copper pipes to the rear heater?
