  • ignition key and barrel

Got back to airport after a week away, and i couldnt turn key in ignition...
it slotted in ok, but wouldnt turn
this happened a few weeks back, but i wiggled key for a few seconds and it worked
took over 5 minutes of persuassion today... and i nearly called AA but persisted a while longer,
got home and same thing - even when steering lock is not engaged
key seems a bit stubborn in passenger side door too, but not driver or boot,
I only have 1 key! so cant test another key
is there any way of getting a new key of Toyota dealer
I have a 5 digit number on a metal plate on the key ring

not sure if its the key or ignition barrel though, might try and get repalcement of both off s$$$$py i guess

none of local key places seem to have a toyota key blank..

managed to remove the ignition barrel, after doing search on here for the procedure, took 10 mins of wiggling key to turn it!

think i will get new barrel and keys from Dealer
