It looks a bit like a spacer of some sort, though I am frequently very wrong!!!

i had them with the 3000's and just put them on the shelf

I think you will find that they are for putting through the shock end for a different type of mounting ie like the old cortina which went through the centre of the spring through a hole in the bottom wishbone then bolted to the bottom of the wishbone

ok so what is the sequence for the rubbers and washers, there is only 2 washers and two rubbers, but wot ever sequence they are put in there is no thread left to put the nut on.....????????

Starting at the shock/ Washer - Rubber put through Bracket then Rubber - Washer - Nut
