Sorry Vince, but, get everything else checked and working first. If you even think
of adding an extra cooler before you know your cooling system is in good shape,
you may end up masking a problem which will get worse eventually. An ATF oil
cooler is an extra perk for towing, but get the basics sorted first.

With the rad, a pinhole definitely won't be helping. You can either repair it with
solder and a propane/butane blowtorch, or take it to a rad specialist for repair.
With regards to the viscous fan, just do a search for viscous fan on the site.
Believe me, there's more info than you can shake a stick at.

      Excellent!

      I'm feeling lazy today.

Hell, I just know I've become a cooling system obsessive now. I'm contradicting.
With regards to an ATF cooler, it is actually best to have a secondary oil cooler
rather than a standalone ATF cooling system. Passing it through the rad cooler
will actually maintain a better working temperature, as a standalone could
theoretically overly cool the oil. Also, the secondary cooler, preferably, should
be connected via a thermostatic valve so that until the ATF fluid is upto a
predetermined temperature, the ATF fluid will pass through the rad cooler only.
Overcooling, as with the engine cooling system, can actually create as many
problems as it cures. Poor running, increased wear, lower fuel economy, to
          name but a few.

The connector nearest your radiator on the thermostat elbow is the one to remove to keep electric fan on permanently with engine on.
VISCOUS FAN is the big fan between radiator & engine.

Looking from the front of the engine bay, the blue fan in the following pic is the
viscous fan. Yours obviously won't be blue.

The fan on the other side (front of the radiator) is the electric fan which kicks in as the tempeature gets above normal

No it's not. That's the aircon rad fan.
