    update, as promised..

had to leave for work at 8am, toyota dealership opens at 8:30..the girl at the AA insisted that an hours notice would be quite adeqate for the relay..hmmm..ok, i'll test the service methinks..30 minutes from swaffham to kings lynn maybe, so assuming he arrives at ten minutes to eight, gets the car loaded by eight, he should just be arriving when the gates are opening, and i'll get my pick up for work, right on schedual..like yeah..so, all i need to do, is call the AA at about twenty to seven..

"ermmm, hiya, i was advised i should request a relay service an hour before required, and i'd like one in an hour please" says me, not entirely confident..the reply was cheery, and not as expected..after passing my details, i was assured the recovery vehicle would be with me at about quarter to eight....ten minutes later, the phone rings..its the AA..confirming a tears breakdown truck had been dispatched...and at quarter to eight, a big silver flatbed was reversing up to my car.."to be recovered to toyota king's lynn sir, thats what i've got here" i assure him the details are correct, and only a few minutes later, my rig is loaded..blimey!

my lift arrives on cue, and thirty minutes later i get a call from rachel at toyota confirming my vehicle has arrived safely, and they'll give me an update later in the day..at four pm, i'm being advised that the key, the very worn key has been a contributing factor..they will order a new ignition barrel with coded key, so my doors and tailgate can be operated from it too..it'll take a couple of days..if i needed the vehicle immediately, they would make it driveable, but if i was happy for them too keep it, then it might be better..cost for parts, labour and vat..just over 200 quid...

so...service from the AA and toyota king's lynn thus far..10 out of 10..

well, got her home, safe and sound..took a little longer that anticipated, due to the neccessary part not being overly easy to source..but, tis done now..the new barrel is coded to the origional keys, and a spare thrown in makes three..got to the showroom only to be told the vehicle was awaiting a wash and polish!..like huh? blimey, thats service ain't it? and the total bill came out cheaper than the estimate too..so yeah, i'm happy..

Toyota seem to like washing vehicles, is that a new customer service? When I was in the motortrade you were lucky if we wiped the oil of the door handles
