Non surf power steering probs

on my 1993 seat toledo(economycar) it keeps peeing fluid out of the breather on the fluid res when revved? are ther filters in the system that i should clean? all the hoses are kink free,embarresed by puddle of oil when i park up (embarresed by car but that will have to wait)

Are you sure it's a 'breather' pipe? I've not heard of that on a hydraulic system. Maybe the pipe has come off from somewhere, such as the retuen feed to the pump.

it`s not a breather pipe but a hole in the res lid,only small less than 1mm.
i drained and replaced some of the fluid yesterday,the belt is nice and tight it needs to last a couple of weeks as i`m allowed to spend up 2 2k on summat else,i`m looking at 1.9 or 2.1d xantias as i`m a ex bx owner and veg user, we shall see.
