  • Noise......bearing?

recently ive started getting a squeeling noise, mostly in first and reverse gear, also a tweek of a noise when i let of the accelerator in second gear

all other gears there is no noise at all, truck drives fine, i think its possibley from the centre propshaft bearing, does this seem reasonable

how easy are they to replace

also does the 2.4 exhaust fit the 2.8 as no one can say yay or nay for definate

    thanks

thanks ill pm over the chassis numbner this evening...

regards the location of the squeal its hard to say as it only does it when in motion.....but.....i think its coming from the centre prop bearing

well i sorted the exhaust, managed to get a complete new one for a great price, while i was under the truck, i noticed the gearbox mount had completely fell apart, more than likely the cause of the " fail" of what i suspect is the centre prop bearing.

so next thing to be replaced is the centre prop bearing, hopefully that will solve the squeal........

still not found out the "how to change bearing" info, so i think its gonna be a case of suck it and see, unless some knows.....
