  • Just lift the brake caliper out of the way....

Probably laziness on my part, but forewarned is forearmed.
When removing a front brake disc on a 2nd Gen you must first remove the 2 bolts holding the brake caliper, right? Then lift it out of the way.
Mine has a rigid pipe coming out of the caliper which is bolted to a clip which then goes to the flexi.
How do I lift it out of the way when it is fixed to a rigid pipe which is fixed to the steering arm?
Do I have to undo the bolts which hold the steering arm on to remove the pipe fixing bracket?
Does it just slip out of the pipe bracket in some mysterious oriental way?

Thank you Andy. I just didn't want to kink or bend the pipe, but I'll go easy on it. Glad to know it can be done that way.

If you pull the spring clip off behind the hub, the rubber hose will pull through the fitting and you won't bend the rigid pipe at all.
