Leak

To anyone who can help

I have a 1996 Surf which has developed a leak in the boot.

At first I thought the side window was leaking but on further investigation I found the water had collected in the plasic part of the foof lining.

I have noticed that a bolt is missing form the roof channel and am guessing the water could be coming in throught the hole.

Does any body have any experience or know if this could be the problem.

I am obvoiusly going to have the bolt rplace but would like to know if this is likely to cure the problem.

The surf is still under warranty so no problem geting the work done other than making sure the right things are done.

If it still leaks after replacing the bolt check for a loose or broken rear window washer hose.

Thanks guys.

I assumed that the leak would be through the bolt but thought that somebody might say it was sealed or something and could not leak.

The washer is ok and the leak is actualy on the near side.
