I had the rear window motor out again and the Araldite had failed big time. So I drilled three holes through from the back of the rubber wheel, right through the metal top, exactly half way between the nobbles that go into the sprocket. I counter-sunk the holes and put nuts with Locktite on the threads. The window fair whizzes up and down, for the time being, but I will be checking the sc rap yards for a spare to put away.
I put a bit of tipp-ex on the end of each nut for clarity.
